Since 2013, BeaconLit Festival has celebrated a love for literature with the local community. Our committee of volunteers organise an event-filled day with quality authors and quality conversation in the intimate setting of the school hall. All profits are reinvested into the Beacon Villages Community Libraries.
With just meters between you and the authors, BeaconLit is a rare chance to talk openly to published writers and fellow literary lovers. From one-on-one interviews and panel discussions to the new addition of a poetry circle and announcing the winners of our flash fiction competition, there truly is something for everyone. After each 50-minute session there is an opportunity to purchase books and have them signed.
